Grand opening of new Rabat headquarters

The date of February 16, 2022 will be historic for Moroccan sport in general and for the volleyball family in particular.
In fact, the new headquarters of the African Volleyball Confederation has just been opened by the Minister of State for Education, Pre-School Education and Sports Chakib Benmoussa in the presence of FIVB President Dr Ary Graça Filho and It was unveiled in the presence of Mrs. . Bouchra Hajij, president of the CAVB and the Royal Moroccan Volleyball Federation, who did his best to bring the seat to Morocco. Also present were the President of the African Volleyball Federation, the Vice-President of ANOCA, CNOM representatives and representatives of the diplomatic corps in Morocco, as well as several individuals.
During her speech, Mrs. Bouchra Hajij expressed her pride for the realization of this wish which has been close to her heart since October 2020, the date on which she was elected president of the CAVB. She then reiterated by addressing several projects Her desire to develop volleyball on the African continent. Her first bet was won when she was able to provide the African Federation with a new headquarters, which provided a working environment where CAVB and volleyball family staff could meet and exchange developments in the sport.
Other open projects are: good governance, openness and partnerships with various sports, economic, social and cultural sectors.
Chakib Benmoussa, Minister of State for Education, Pre-School Education and Sports, stressed the importance of sport to African youth and its role in strengthening bonds of friendship among peoples and awakening civic values.
Chakib Benmoussa then congratulated Bouchra Hajij on this achievement and assured him that his department would support him in achieving his sporting goals.
Other speeches followed, notably by Dr. Ary Graça Filho of FIVB President Da Costa 1Uh Kamal Rahlu of CNOM, Vice-President of the Association of African National Olympic Committees (ANOCA). They both affirmed their pride in this achievement and intend to support Ms. Hajij’s work.
It should be noted that the new headquarters of CAVB is now installed in a chic area of ​​Rabat, replacing the old headquarters in Cairo (Egypt). The seat was acquired with the support of the FIVB and the Kingdom of Morocco, which advocated a policy of openness to Africa due to the enlightened policy of King Mohammed VI. Through this action, Bukhra Haji achieved great success in parallel diplomacy.
As an additional reminder, Bouchra Hajij is a member of the ANOCA Equality Committee and a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Committee on Culture and Olympic Heritage.
